One of the most famous events during your hiking holiday close to the Seiser Alm in the apartment house Pötzes is definitely the annual concert of the Kastelruther Spatzen, a famous local folk band. On one weekend they ensure a merry atmosphere amongst the guests by playing old and new songs in the afternoons and evenings. The tickets are available already before your arrival and you can book them in advance.

Last but not least, there are plenty of interesting sights and museums in the region, maybe a recommendable goal on rainy days. Whether you visit the Farmer’s Museum Tschötscherhof, the School Museum in Tagusens or the world-famous Ice-man Museum, they all offer insights in the local culture and traditions. Furthermore, the castles Prösels and Trostburg are testimony to life in the Middle Ages, whereas the many churches reflect the strong and deep religious belief of the local community.
